Motivation to Get Unstuck
What motivates you? If you’re feeling challenged with moving forward, consider these ideas:
Accountability Motivator- There is tremendous value in not going it alone. Enlist help from an accountability partner, as my virtual organizing clients do with me. Supercharge your motivation and action.
Environmental Motivator- Don’t underestimate how the power of an optimally intentioned space can motivate you. That might mean burning your favorite candle, playing tunes but not distracting ones, or wearing your most comfy clothes. Motivation will increase when your visceral interactions with your physical world are positive.
Timed Motivator- Establishing specific time boundaries can be highly motivating. Especially if you’re having trouble getting started on a project, set a timer for 15, 30 or, 60 minutes, accomplish as much as you can, and then stop. Repeat as often as needed.
